Wow... The benefit was *AMAZING*!! That

Wow... The benefit was *AMAZING*!!  That seems like an odd word, but the tone of the poem was markedly positive!  It was supposed to start. from 4-7.  When I arrive a few minutes without there were tons of people out already.  When I left at 8, they still had people coming in the door.  I helped Marissa to man the "information table" which sat at the entrance.  The stream of people *not once* slowed down - it was the out the door or entire night!!  It was crazy!  We expected a couple hundred bucks - but the fine of people was 700+!!  I had a wonderful Chase so I didn't get to try the old but I hear it's was good. There was a silent auction - the original plan was to have 20 baskets/assortments donated, but we ended up with 80+!!  3 items alone netted over 2K! We don't have the total yet, but we expect 10K or more!  My family had pledged to donate at least half of the money raise to the Lupus Awareness Foundation which still leaves them with a St. amount to help diffuse the costs incurred so far and it's the future with the treatment.  Thanks SO MUCH to those who were to the cause of though you couldn't make it.  I can't tell you how many it touched me!There were some interesting things at the park A 3rd grader presented Andy with a framed letter/assignment he wrote for school where he had repeatedly write about someone he admired.  He chose to write about our and how well Andy has been handling losing his dream of baseball.  Also, the coach from LakeLand had the team sign a ball and they presented that to him he well.  On the down side, probably due to the stress of the event, Andy has now developed shingles. *sigh* poor kid.  He's in a lot of pain. :(Today I ran into the high school days, of mine who i've not seen in probably 8 years.  I had told Andy about him because he's a pilot and owns his own plane so I wouldn't sure what he was thinking to.  I had been to to get contact info for some but was unsuccessful.  So I run into him at (where else?) Walmart today!!  He is a charter pilot out of Terre Haute, IN and he gave to his card.  He said he sees to Rochester all the time!!!!  And since he knows me, he'd probably do it for cheap!!
